Abuakwa South MP donates medical equipment and settles patients’ bills at Kyebi Gov’t Hospital

Dr. Kingsley Agyemang, the Member of Parliament for Abuakwa South, has recently shown his dedication to enhancing healthcare services in his constituency by donating vital medical equipment to the Kyebi Government Hospital. The donation was aimed at bolstering the hospital's capacity to cater to patients, particularly in areas requiring continuous monitoring, emergency care, maternal healthcare, and general clinical services.

The equipment consisted of three suction machines, three electronic scales with height measurements, two pulse oximeters, ten blood pressure machines, ten thermometers, three electronic patient monitors, twenty wheelchairs, numerous boxes of examination gloves, and one Cardiotocography (CTG) machine. These resources are anticipated to elevate the hospital's ability to attend to patients efficiently.

In addition to providing the medical equipment, Dr. Agyemang also took another charitable action by settling all outstanding inpatient bills at the facility. This act would significantly benefit patients and their families who might have encountered financial hardships in settling their hospital bills. Dr. Agyemang's commitment to the welfare of his constituents and the betterment of healthcare delivery within Abuakwa South has been evident in his numerous past support gestures to the Kyebi Government Hospital.

During the equipment presentation, Dr. Agyemang urged healthcare professionals at the hospital to maintain their high standards of care, emphasizing the importance of compassion, dedication, and professionalism in their roles. He appealed for the government to provide the necessary equipment and resources to ensure the sustainable development of healthcare facilities in Abuakwa South, emphasizing that individual contributions could only address immediate needs.

The Chief Superintendent of Kyebi Government Hospital, Dr. Isaac Antwi, expressed gratitude towards Dr. Agyemang for his gesture and ongoing support to the facility. He acknowledged the significance of the donated equipment for the healthcare workers and patients. The Abuakwa South NPP Constituency Chairman, Mr. Otis Asante, and other members of the Executive Committee also attended the event, highlighting the collective dedication of the constituency leadership to initiatives aimed at improving the well-being of residents and strengthening essential social services like healthcare.
