Zimbabwean pastor brings defamation action against Conor McGregor

Ashton Hall and Conor McGregor joined forces on a recent shoot, turning it into an action-packed collaboration. The fitness influencer shared a clip from the project, praising McGregor as his "brother." In the video, Hall jumped from a helicopter, ran and jumped over a vehicle before McGregor appeared with a gun. The shoot, made for McGregor's Mac Energy brand, stood out for the timing: McGregor was just eight days out from knee surgery.

Hall posted the clip on social media, giving fans a glimpse of the shoot's intensity. The video began with Hall stepping out of a helicopter, sprinting full-speed and leaping over a vehicle. McGregor fired a gun during the sequence, and the two shared a moment afterward. Hall later described the experience as a "war with my brother @thenotoriousmma, 8 days post surgery - winners win."

The timing of the shoot was striking, as McGregor had only recently undergone knee surgery after suffering a serious injury during his UFC 329 fight against Max Holloway on July 11 in Las Vegas. McGregor's return lasted only 69 seconds after he injured his knee while throwing a kick. His long-awaited comeback was a major setback, and he said the ACL and meniscus damage was on the opposite leg from his 2021 fight with Dustin Poirier.

Despite the surgery, McGregor chose to participate in the Mac Energy project with Hall. The UFC's official report confirmed the stoppage at 1:09 of the first round. McGregor's recovery plan remained unchanged, with no indication that he had returned to fight training. UFC CEO Dana White estimated McGregor's recovery would take about a year. For Hall, the project offered a chance to work with one of MMA's biggest names, while for McGregor, it provided a unique appearance only days into his recovery.
