Zero Networks expands Palo Alto Networks integration to AI agent control

Zero Networks, a zero-trust security firm, has extended its partnership with Palo Alto Networks to incorporate AI agent control. This enhancement allows the automated containment of compromised assets without isolating entire network segments. Palo Alto Networks' firewalls act as Dynamic Address Groups, receiving context about assets discovered by Zero Networks, which does not require agents for asset discovery.

The expanded integration enables redirected traffic from protected workloads to Palo Alto Networks' firewalls for Layer 7 threat prevention, providing deep inspection of internal east-west traffic. Once flagged as malicious, the affected asset is cut off, and Redirection is supported on Linux systems, with Windows support planned.

Zero Networks' AI Segmentation, launched in April, is now integrated with Palo Alto Networks' Prisma AIRS, securing AI traffic by identifying agents and setting deterministic, identity-based boundaries for their connections. This integration simplifies the enforcement model, allowing customers to manage both firewalls, internal assets, and AI agents through a unified system.

Neither company requires customers to redesign their network for this integration, as it utilizes existing enforcement capabilities across various environments. Zero Networks, founded in 2019, has raised over $100 million in funding, with Series C led by Highland Europe Ltd. in June 2025.
