Wisin Announces the University of Perreo to Preserve Reggaeton’s History

Puerto Rican singer Wisin has announced the establishment of the University of Perreo, a first-of-its-kind educational and cultural project dedicated to preserving the history and evolution of reggaeton. The initiative, unveiled in August 2026, aims to safeguard the genre's legacy, train new generations of artists, and explore the impact it has had on Latin American music and culture.
