We worked together before, there were no issues then, DAP leaders tell Hadi

Four Malay leaders of the DAP have questioned PAS president Abdul Hadi Awang's recent criticism of the party over its stance on Islam and the Federal Constitution. The DAP leaders, including Syahredzan Johan, Young Syefura Othman, Sheikh Umar Bagharib Ali, and Syerleena Abdul Rashid, stated that the two parties had previously worked together in the now-defunct Pakatan Rakyat coalition, which won 82 parliamentary seats in the 2008 general election and formed state governments in several Malaysian states.

Hadi's criticism accuses DAP of attempting to steer the constitution back towards secular rule. The DAP leaders asked Hadi to explain why this issue was not an obstacle when the parties collaborated in Pakatan Rakyat, including contesting elections together.
