VIDEO: Adeleke prostrates before elder brother after re-election

Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke prostrated to express gratitude to his elder brother, Adedeji Adeleke, for his crucial role in his re-election victory. After receiving his certificate of return from Nigeria's Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in the capital city of Osogbo, the governor paid homage to his brother who was also seen warmly welcoming him and offering prayers.

The elder brother, who is the father of Afrobeats sensation Davido, had earlier stated on Monday that his brother's win was a result of answered prayers, not financial contributions. In a video shared by the Daily Post, Davido's father acknowledged the numerous expenditures made during the election but affirmed that people voted for Ademola Adeleke as a direct response to their prayers.

Adeleke emerged victorious in the election, securing 511,067 votes compared to his opponent Bola Oyebamiji of the All Progressives Congress (APC), who garnered 444,815 votes.
