Unauthorised structures outside Pakistan High Commission demolished in Delhi

Authorities demolished unauthorized structures outside the Pakistan High Commission in New Delhi, asserting they extended beyond the mission's authorized boundary, according to PTI on Thursday, citing sources. Visuals shared by the news agency depicted the removal of roofing sheets, metal railings, and wooden constructions along the lane encircling the embassy compound.

The operation was carried out by relevant agencies utilizing a JCB machine to dismantle the outer structures. A video from the scene outside the Pakistan High Commission at Shantipath showed heaps of rubble, comprising twisted metal frames, bricks, and concrete and plaster fragments scattered across the paved area. The main entrance of the High Commission, featuring its white walls, dome structures, and imposing metal gates adorned with the Pakistani emblem, remained untouched.
