Two booked for insulting woman police officer

Two individuals, Saikumar Nagalingayya from Tumakuru and Dharma from Bengaluru, have been arrested for insulting a female police officer through a video message. The officer, currently stationed in Bengaluru, filed a complaint with the Cubbon Park Police against the two, who are known repeat offenders. Both men are facing charges for creating and disseminating videos on social media, alleging that the woman officer had made obscene video calls to inmates at the Hindalga Central Prison in Belagavi.

According to the complaint, Dharma recorded the videos, while Saikumar spread them on social media and called for action against the officer. The complainant, a married man with children, expressed distress over the videos tarnishing his reputation and causing mental anguish. Saikumar later released another video, claiming that prison officials were involved in criminal activities such as drug supply, phone smuggling, and professional sex work, based on his past experiences as an inmate at Hindalga prison several years ago.
