Thailand plans electricity expansion to Ta Kwai border area by early 2027

Thailand has announced plans to extend its electricity infrastructure to the Ta Kwai Temple-Hill 350 border area by early 2027, according to the Joint Information Center (JIC). The project is deemed crucial for national security, as stated by Air Force Assistant Commander-in-Chief ACM Prapas Sonchaidee, the director of the JIC for the Thai-Cambodian situation.

During a visit to key border locations on August 20, Prapas emphasized that the government aims to bring power to the frontline by early 2027. He highlighted that infrastructure development is an integral part of security, as it improves military operations, communications, safety, and the quality of life for personnel stationed along the border.

Prapas noted that providing electricity and necessary support systems to remote border areas is particularly important, as it demonstrates that these regions are not forgotten and that the frontline soldiers are valued and supported. He also praised the frontline personnel for their discipline, endurance, sacrifice, and professionalism, reaffirming Thailand's commitment to peace and sovereignty, while stressing the importance of maintaining stability and avoiding unnecessary misunderstandings.
