<p>Hapoel Tel Aviv on Thursday evening played to a 0-0 draw away to Italian side Atalanta in Bergamo in the first leg of the Conference League playoff round.</p><p>Meanwhile, Maccabi Tel Aviv lost 2-1 to Lugano in Switzerland and will need to win the second leg next week to overturn the deficit and advance to the league phase of the competition.</p>
