Snoop Dogg Biopic Enlists This ‘BMF’ Star to Play Dr. Dre: ‘L.A. Kid Playing an L.A. Legend’

Universal Pictures has cast Myles Bullock Be to portray Dr. Dre in the upcoming Snoop Dogg biopic titled Snoop. The 35-year-old actor has previously appeared in Starz's BMF, Runaways, Criminal Minds, and the 2023 White Men Can't Jump reboot. Bullock confirmed the news on Instagram, sharing a photo of the announcement with a caption that read, "LA Kid playing an LA Legend, @snoopdogg @jonathandavissofficial let's get it! #mamaimadeit."

Fans praised the casting choice, with actor Kris Lofton commenting, "This n—a don't MISS." Outer Banks star Jonathan Daviss will portray Snoop Dogg in the film, revealing during an interview that "there'll be a lot of unexpected moments from this because I don't think a lot of people know about Snoop Dogg's story." Snoop and Dre have been a hip-hop power couple since their partnership began in 1992, with collaborations like "Nuthin' But a 'G' Thang," "The Next Episode," and "Still D.R.E."

The biopic is set to hit theaters in the U.S. on Aug. 6, 2027. Directed by Hustle & Flow's Craig Brewer, the film will also feature Outer Banks star Jonathan Daviss alongside Snoop Dogg. The project is produced by 8 Mile's Brian Grazer. After leaving Death Row Records, Snoop Dogg joined No Limit Records in 1998, and Master P mentioned that his son, Hercy Miller, is competing to play his father in the biopic.

Universal Pictures also produced Straight Outta Compton, which received an Oscar nomination, and starred LaKeith Stanfield as Snoop and Corey Hawkins as Dr. Dre.
