Ronaldinho returns in search of ‘beautiful’ 300th goal

Former Brazilian football star Ronaldinho, 46, has announced his surprising return to the sport after retiring in 2015. The talented playmaker, who won the World Cup in 2002 and the Ballon d'Or in 2005, revealed his intention to play for Italian third-division team Ravenna FC in the 2026/27 season. The goal of his comeback is to score his 300th career goal, a dream that has been with him since announcing his return in June, alongside Italian-American businessman Ignazio Cipriani, who owns the club since 2024.

Cipriani stated that Ronaldinho's objective is genuine and not a marketing ploy, as the former Brazil star would be taking on a shareholder role in the club, which he hopes will propel Ravenna back to Serie B, where they haven't played since 2008. The ex-Glory of Paris Saint-Germain, Barcelona, and AC Milan expressed his excitement about returning to Italy, emphasizing his desire to assist his teammates in achieving victory.
