‘Resign, it’s done bro’: Abhijeet Dipke’s message for Bar Council chief

Abhijeet Dipke, founder of the Cockroach Janta Party, tweeted "Resign, it’s done bro" to Bar Council chief Manan Kumar Misra. The message followed a dispute between Supreme Court Chief Justice Surya Kant and NALSAR law students, who were protesting Misra's decision to deny enrollment to 2026 NALSAR graduates over comments made by the Chief Justice.

Dipke urged all legal professionals to join a protest at the BCI chief's Delhi office, with CJP leader Saurav Das later sharing photos from the demonstration and stating that a memorandum demanding Misra's resignation had been presented. The protest was organized by the All India Young Lawyers Association, though it was not strictly about the Misra-versus-students conflict; advocates were also protesting against the Bar Council's handling of internal issues, particularly the lack of support for lawyers facing difficulties in police stations and the declining practice of criminal law.
