Rivers State Police Command is currently probing the murder of Phillip Barikui's protocol aide, alongside an unidentified individual, in Bori, Khana Local Government Area. Police spokesperson ASP Blessing Agabe has urged the public to provide any relevant information to aid in the apprehension of those responsible. Barikui was reportedly shot dead by unknown assailants on Monday at Makoro Street, Bori, along with another man whose identity remains undisclosed.
The second victim, who suffered gunshot injuries, succumbed to his wounds in an undisclosed Bori hospital. This incident follows a similar killing two weeks prior, where Letam Kinee, a member of the Khana Local Government Area Sanitation Committee, was also murdered on the Ken Saro-Wiwa Polytechnic Road in Bori. These two incidents have raised significant concerns regarding security in Khana.
