Pennsylvania State Police helicopter and small plane collide and crash; no word on possible injuries

A Pennsylvania State Police helicopter and a small plane crashed into each other Wednesday evening, resulting in a collision that left officials uncertain of any possible injuries, according to reports from Carlisle, Pennsylvania. The incident occurred approximately 110 miles northwest of Philadelphia and involved a Bell 407 helicopter with two personnel on board, as well as a Cessna 150 plane whose number of occupants remains unknown.

Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro, informed of the crash, is en route to the scene. Eyewitnesses have captured images of the crashed helicopter in a vertical position near scattered wreckage, alongside a procession of emergency vehicles gathering near Carlisle. The Federal Aviation Administration and the National Transportation Safety Board have been notified to conduct an investigation into the unfortunate accident.
