NPA Deputy Chief Executive Dr Dramani Bukari laid to rest in Damongo

Dr Dramani Bukari, the late Deputy Chief Executive of the National Petroleum Authority (NPA), was laid to rest in Damongo, Savannah Region, following Islamic funeral rites. Prior to the burial, a sermon on the inevitability of death was delivered by Islamic clergy at the deceased's family residence, followed by the Janazah prayer. The ceremony drew a congregation of family members, NPA personnel, industry stakeholders, and well-wishers nationwide.

The remains of Dr Bukari were then transported to the Damongo cemetery, where he was interred amidst a gathering of hundreds of mourners, including dignitaries and industry leaders. The burial ceremony concluded with a solemn farewell to the late NPA Deputy Chief Executive and expressions of condolences to his grieving family.

Dr Bukari's passing on Tuesday, August 11, 2026, came after a brief illness. As Deputy Chief Executive, he had spearheaded the establishment of the NPA's Centre of Excellence and played a pivotal role in advancing the 24-Hour Economy Programme across Ghana's downstream petroleum sector. His diverse roles and leadership were characterized by humility, discipline, commitment, and unwavering dedication to his peers and subordinates.
