National Afforestation Program launches first vegetation support fund on Ehsan

Saudi Arabia's National Afforestation Program and Ehsan have introduced their inaugural fund to support vegetation projects, in collaboration with Arabian Cement Company. This pioneering initiative, set up on the Ehsan National Platform for Charitable Work, aims to channel Arabian Cement Company's donations towards vegetation development projects through local non-profit organizations.

The Saudi Green Initiative's goals are to be achieved through this partnership. Ahmed bin Saleh Al-Ayada, CEO of the National Center for Vegetation Development and Combating Desertification, stated that this move is part of ongoing efforts to establish more dedicated donation funds for vegetation development. The center has been in talks with Ehsan and various donors to launch additional funds in line with the Saudi Green Initiative's objectives to boost vegetation cover.

The National Center for Vegetation Development had previously signed a memorandum of understanding with Ehsan, aiming to enhance cooperation in identifying environmental sites, setting technical standards for afforestation projects, and enabling individuals and organizations to back vegetation projects, ensuring their sustainability and expanding their environmental impact.
