MyDigital Partners, Pepper Labs To Expand Inclusive AI Learning Through Rakyat Digital

MyDigital Corporation and Pepper Labs have entered into a Memorandum of Understanding to jointly expand inclusive AI learning through the Rakyat Digital platform. This collaboration aligns with Malaysia's Towards an AI Nation 2030 agenda, as outlined in the 13th Malaysia Plan, or RMK13. The ultimate objective is to cultivate future-ready talent and empower more Malaysians to engage with the digital ecosystem.

Operated by the Ministry of Digital through MyDigital Corporation, Rakyat Digital serves as the country's digital learning hub, building upon the original platform launched in 2024 that solely focused on digital literacy programs. The new iteration of Rakyat Digital, guided by the 3A approach of Awareness, Access, and Adoption, integrates learning opportunities with tools and resources.

Adrian Marcellus, CEO of MyDigital Corporation, emphasized that Malaysia's AI Nation ambition will be achieved not solely through technology, but by ensuring that people can confidently and responsibly utilize AI to enhance their lives and livelihoods. This partnership bridges the national reach of Rakyat Digital with the community impact of Dapur Digital, demonstrating how collaboration can transform awareness into access, and access into meaningful adoption, particularly for communities that may not be reached through online learning alone.

The partnership will also bolster broader AI upskilling efforts under Pepper Labs' AI-Ready Malaysia initiative. Selected programs from this initiative are anticipated to be showcased on Rakyat Digital's Digital Skills Hub. The initiative, supported by the AI Opportunity Fund for Asia-Pacific, spearheaded by AVPN with backing from Google.org and the Asian Development Bank (ADB), aims to fortify AI capabilities for up to 50,000 Malaysians, encompassing small and medium-sized enterprises, university students, and educators.
