‘Lucky’ collapsed on Amsterdam street. Did he go missing in Vancouver in 1994?

Vancouver police are collaborating with Dutch and Interpol authorities to investigate whether an unidentified man who collapsed in the Netherlands last year is a Canadian who went missing in British Columbia in the 1990s. Known as "Lucky," the man suffered a brain hemorrhage or stroke while unable to communicate, due to aphasia.

Amsterdam police revealed that the unidentified man has great difficulty speaking and has provided investigators with no information about his identity or address. Speculation arose that Lucky, also known as "Chris the Canadian," might be John Russell Kenny, who vanished from Vancouver in 1994 and would now be around 67 years old.

Photos of Kenny and Lucky show similarities, leading Vancouver police to work on identifying Kenneth as the man currently in a Dutch nursing home. Const. Megan Lui confirmed that the investigation is still ongoing and an update will be provided if a positive identification is made.
