Kematian pelajar 14 tahun, siasat elemen ejekan perkauman, kata Kamil Munim

Kamil Munim, the PKR Youth Leader, has called for a thorough, impartial, and fair investigation into the death of 14-year-old Keziah Nisha, who reportedly died from verbal abuse, including racially charged words. The young victim was a student in Kuala Lumpur. Kamil stressed that all possibilities should be examined and all parties heard before any conclusions are drawn.

"I urge for a comprehensive, thorough, and fair inquiry. Investigate every possibility, listen to all sides, and ensure the truth is known," he said in an Instagram post.

Kamil emphasized that hate speech should not be normalized as "kids' language." He further stated that the incident should serve as a platform for open dialogue among the society if racism is to become a part of daily school life. The teenager's death should not be treated as a small matter of disrespect but as a serious issue that needs to be addressed.

Kamil also urged parents, teachers, community leaders, and the public to take the issue of bullying, harassment, and racism seriously. "Children are learning from the world we're building for them. Ensure that world teaches them to respect all humans, not to despise them," he added. The tragic death of Keziah, a 14-year-old student, has sparked public concern about the possibility of verbal bullying, including racial elements, with further investigation still pending.
