Jon Jones accuses Daniel Cormier of ‘jealousy’ over UFC GOAT take

Former UFC light heavyweight champion Jon Jones has responded angrily to Daniel Cormier's recent comments about the greatest of all time debate. Cormier had previously suggested that Jones' history of using performance-enhancing drugs disqualified him from being named the UFC GOAT. Instead, Cormier pointed to Khabib Nurmagomedov, highlighting his undefeated record and clean record.

In response, Jones took to social media to address his former rival. He acknowledged that he was unfamiliar with the rules during his early days in the UFC, noting that his first fight against Matt Hamill was where he first heard the term "12-to-6." Jones emphasized that his entire career has been spent as the main event fighter, always competing for a world title.

Jones accused Cormier of harboring deep-seated jealousy towards him, stating that his brother's envy runs "so deep through your blood." He expressed hope that the Lord would heal Cormier from his negative feelings and that one day, he wouldn't feel the need to make such inflammatory statements in interviews. Jones concluded by acknowledging the passion Cormier shows when discussing him, but emphasized that it is flattering to see his dedication.
