Israel denies approving ISF's entry into Gaza without 'complete disarmament of Hamas'

The Prime Minister's Office denied reports that Israel approved the International Stabilization Force (ISF) entering the Gaza Strip without Hamas fully disarming, insisting that reconstruction would not commence until Hamas relinquished all its weapons. Turkey, Egypt, and Qatar, alongside mediating efforts to end the Gaza conflict, condemned recent Israeli strikes that killed at least 16 Palestinians in Gaza since Tuesday, urging Israel to adhere to ceasefire obligations and refrain from actions that could heighten tensions.

This followed Israeli strikes that targeted Hamas terrorists. US envoy Jared Kushner concluded a regional visit on Monday without advancing US President Donald Trump's plan to end the war. Israeli attacks, the mediating parties emphasized, are impeding regional and international efforts, as critical steps are underway to implement the Comprehensive Plan to End the Gaza Conflict.

The international community and Trump's Board of Peace, overseeing the ceasefire, are called upon to take necessary measures to ensure compliance and thwart further escalation. A proposed roadmap envisioned Hamas disarming in stages as Israeli forces withdrew from Gaza and halted military operations; however, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu rejected this sequencing, stating that Hamas must fully disarm before any Israeli withdrawal.

Hamas demanded that Israel comply with the ceasefire and withdraw its forces from Gaza, while also disputing the sequence of implementing Trump's plan. Since the ceasefire's implementation last October, at least 1,283 Palestinians have been killed in Gaza, according to Gazan health officials, while the Israeli military reports that four Israeli soldiers have been killed.
