IBEX 2026 Expands Opportunities For The Marine Industry To Connect

The International BoatBuilders’ Exhibition and Conference, or IBEX, is North America’s premier trade event for the recreational marine industry. This year’s edition, IBEX 2026, is set to take place at the Tampa Convention Center from October 6-8. The event aims to enhance networking opportunities within the marine industry by organizing experiences around shared interests, career stages, and technical disciplines.

IBEX 2026 will begin with a series of pre-show activities, including a Pre-Show Happy Hour sponsored by SeaPower on Monday, October 5, from 4-6 p.m. at the Sail Pavilion. The official opening of the event will take place on Tuesday, with the annual Industry Breakfast from 7:30-9 a.m. at the Tampa Marriott Water Street. This event recognizes the year’s Innovation Award winners and sets the tone for the week's discussions on industry trends and innovations.

Throughout the week, attendees can participate in a variety of sessions aimed at connecting established leaders with the next generation of marine professionals, as well as opportunities for attendees to reconnect with colleagues and exchange ideas. One new addition for 2026 is the Professional BoatBuilder Journal Release Party, an exclusive event celebrating the latest issue of The IBEX Technical Journal.

This reception brings together industry leaders, editors, and contributors for an Editor & Writers Meet & Greet and a guided Design Gallery tour.

For those entering, advancing within, or transitioning into the recreational marine industry, the Emerging Marine Leaders initiative has expanded. The Emerging Marine Leaders Lounge, located in the Education Hall, Room 118, offers dedicated education sessions, networking opportunities, and community-building experiences tailored to professionals at different career stages. The program also includes a special cocktail reception celebrating Boating Industry’s 40 Under 40 and Women Making Waves honorees.

IBEX 2026 continues to emphasize innovation, with opportunities for attendees to discover emerging technologies and connect with the innovators shaping the future of recreational boating. The Yachting Ventures Pitch Competition on Tuesday, followed by the Innovation Meet & Greet, allows startups and emerging businesses to present their ideas to a panel of judges and investors.

On Wednesday, the Pitch the Press session provides exhibitors, boatbuilders, and marine service providers with a platform to showcase new products, technologies, and company developments directly to media professionals.
