Hull owner hits out at pundits over 'laughable' criticism

Hull City owner Acun Ilicali has expressed disappointment at the criticism from pundits Joe Cole and Carlton Cole. He added that his club is accustomed to being underestimated, and they thrived when they were promoted last season. This criticism comes from Joe Cole and Carlton Cole, who were featured on The Dressing Room podcast. On the podcast, Joe Cole remarked that he had declined the opportunity to be a pundit for Hull City's opening match and expressed shock at the prospect of the team staying up, jokingly stating they had slipped in.

Carlton Cole, who played for Chelsea, West Ham, and made seven appearances for England, later defended the comments on social media, labeling them as banter and claiming he loved Hull City. Hull City, who have spent £70 million on new signings this summer, will face Manchester United in their opening Premier League match on Saturday.
