Gov Aiyedatiwa appoints 1,000 aides, commissioner, three advisers in Ondo

Ondo State Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa has recently approved the appointment of a commissioner, three Special Advisers, and 1,000 political aides to bolster his administration and enhance service delivery throughout the state. The appointments consist of 90 Senior Special Assistants and 910 Special Assistants, as confirmed by the governor’s Chief Press Secretary, Ebenezer Adeniyan.

Erelu Taibat Yemi Oloruntoba, hailing from Akoko North-West Local Government Area, has been nominated as Commissioner for Special Duties and her nomination is awaiting screening and confirmation from the Ondo State House of Assembly. Additionally, three Special Advisers have been appointed: Abimbola Fajolu from Ileoluji-Okeigbo Local Government Area as Special Adviser on Environment; Chief Ade Adeniyi from Ondo West Local Government Area as Special Adviser on Rural and Community Development; and Muyiwa Ogunyemi from Akoko North-East Local Government Area as Special Adviser on Transport.

The 90 Senior Special Assistants appointed include Erelu Toyin Ogungbure as SSA on Women Mobilisation (South), Bidemi Obayangbon as SSA on Forestry, Gboluge Olufunmi Alex as SSA on Community Engagement (South), Hon. Akin Adeniyi as SSA on Community Engagement (Central), and Obayan Theophilus Ayodeji as SSA on Community Engagement (North).

Other appointees cover various fields such as education, volunteer services, oil and gas, youth empowerment, public engagement, scholarship, grassroots mobilisation, photography, and non-indigenes. The governor emphasized that the remaining appointees would be announced in due course. All the appointments have taken effect immediately.
