‘GMB Fashion Night Disappointing’

Teiya, the 2022 winner of Ghana’s Most Beautiful (GMB) and representative of the Northern Region, voiced her dissatisfaction with the Fashion Night during the 20th edition of the pageant. The video of her expressing her disappointment was later removed from her social media platforms. Teiya emphasized that she was not pleased at all, considering that the show celebrated its 20th anniversary as a legacy year.

She stated that the prize package alone should convey the significance of the occasion, indicating that the show was no longer a casual affair. Teiya described last night's event as "disappointing," marking her first public criticism of the show. Previously, she typically watched the program and refrained from sharing her opinions.

However, this time around, she felt compelled to speak out due to her dissatisfaction. The designs presented at the Fashion Night, Teiya lamented, were underwhelming, especially considering the substantial prize package of GH¢200,000. She had anticipated "exceptional, jaw-dropping designs" that would captivate viewers. Teiya expressed her disappointment, asserting that the designs fell short of expectations, particularly for a milestone year.

She clarified that her criticism was not directed at the contestants but rather at the designers, attributing their lackluster efforts to the designs themselves. Teiya acknowledged that some contestants struggled due to their designers' inability to create exceptional outfits. Despite her criticisms, Teiya refrained from blaming the pageant organizers, attributing the responsibility to the designers for delivering outstanding garments.
