GIPA invites investors to maiden ‘Invest Ghana Summit’
Mr Sedor said the Summit would provide a platform for investors to engage government leaders, policymakers, business executives and other stakeholders on investment opportunities in Ghana.
The Ghana Investment Promotion Authority (GIPA) has extended an invitation to investors, business leaders, and prospective investment partners to attend the inaugural Invest Ghana Summit scheduled for later this year. Christopher Sedor, Principal Investment Promotion Officer at GIPA, made the announcement during meetings with investors at the Invest Fest 2026 event held in Atlanta, USA, on behalf of Simon Madjie, GIPA's Chief Executive Officer.
Sedor emphasized that the Summit would serve as a platform for investors to interact with government officials, policymakers, business executives, and other stakeholders to discuss investment prospects in Ghana. The event aims to highlight Ghana's investment potential, foster strategic partnerships, and drive sustainable economic development.
It is anticipated to bring together government leaders, policymakers, investors, business magnates, diplomats, development partners, multinational corporations, Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs), and representatives from Ghana's business community, as well as beyond. Sedor outlined Ghana's investment opportunities across various sectors, including agriculture and agro-processing, manufacturing, energy, technology and digital services, tourism and hospitality, real estate, infrastructure, and logistics.
He attributed these opportunities to the country's 24-Hour Economy policy, which is fostering increased production and greater private-sector involvement. Sedor urged interested investors to attend the Summit to explore investment possibilities, engage with relevant government bodies and business leaders, establish business connections, identify potential projects, and forge strategic partnerships in Ghana.
This invitation followed GIPA's interactions with investors at Invest Fest 2026, where the Authority presented Ghana's investment opportunities through the Ghana Pavilion and presentations on the GIPA stage. The GIPA delegation, comprising Manuela Adu (Head of Protocol), Bridget Odei (Principal Investment Promotion Officer), and Raphael Apetorgbor (Assistant Public Relations Officer), also showcased provisions of the Ghana Investment Promotion Authority Act 2026 (Act 1173), such as the citizenship-by-investment framework, which is expected to bolster Ghana's appeal to high-net-worth investors.
GIPA plans to implement these provisions in collaboration with the Ministry of the Interior as part of initiatives to bolster Ghana's investment climate. The Authority's participation in Invest Fest was carried out in partnership with the Ghana Tourism Authority, with involvement from private-sector firms Adansie Travel and Tours and Sunseekers Travel and Tours.
These engagements are part of GIPA's strategy to position Ghana as a competitive investment destination and enhance relationships with international investors and business associates.
