Genesis launched a flagship electric SUV and gave it more power than the Ferrari Amalfi

Genesis has unveiled its newest flagship electric SUV, the GV90, boasting impressive power figures that surpass even those of high-end supercars like the Ferrari Amalfi and Lamborghini Urus. The GV90 features a mammoth 123.5kWh battery, capable of delivering an astounding 657 horsepower and 800Nm of torque through a dual-motor all-wheel-drive system.

The vehicle's spacious interior, equipped with a 23.6-inch OLED display, head-up display, and a 25-speaker Bang & Olufsen Premier 3D audio system, creates a more lounge-like atmosphere than a conventional SUV. Genesis has also introduced a novel safety feature with the Roof Airbag, which deploys across the glass roof during severe rollover crashes, potentially reducing the risk of occupants striking the glass and improving overall protection.

The GV90 will be offered in both a standard version and the Neolun variant, incorporating concept-inspired ideas into production. The vehicle is set to debut globally on August 19, targeting various markets in 2027. Additionally, General Motors has announced that all 2027 EV models will feature the North American Charging Standard (NACS) port, allowing seamless connectivity to compatible Tesla Superchargers and other fast-charging networks without the need for an adapter.
