Galatasaray sign Russian midfielder Batrakov from Lokomotiv Moscow

On August 20, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky issued new sanctions targeting Russia's military-industrial complex, propaganda apparatus, and other entities. These sanctions, announced by the Presidential Office, target 28 Russian citizens, 36 companies, and one Chinese firm. The sanctions aim to deprive Russia of resources and international connections supporting its war efforts.

Former Ukrainian lawmaker and Party of Regions member Yurii Ivanyushchenko, as well as the creators of the Russian children's cartoon Masha and the Bear, are among the targeted individuals and entities. Ivanyushchenko, a pro-Russian Party of Regions member, has been linked to illegal activities in Crimea and is under criminal investigation.

The cartoon series Masha and the Bear, which promotes pro-Russian narratives, is also under sanction. Those affected by these sanctions will face asset freezes, trade restrictions, travel bans, and other penalties. Ukraine will coordinate with international partners to enforce these sanctions effectively.
