FET Auto introduces full GAC vehicle lineup to Ghanaian market

Fidelity Engineering and Trading Company Limited (FET Auto) has announced the introduction of GAC Motors' complete lineup of vehicles in Ghana's market, featuring fuel-powered, hybrid, and electric car models. The launch ceremony, held in Accra, represents a significant milestone in FET Auto's collaboration with GAC Motors as they strive to reinforce their presence in Ghana and the broader West African automotive industry.

Group CEO of FET Auto, Zhang Yifing, emphasized that Ghana's burgeoning economy, rapid urbanization, and evolving consumer preferences offer immense opportunities for the automotive sector. He credited FET Auto's extensive local market expertise for guiding the partnership with GAC Motors, which will make a diverse range of passenger vehicles available to Ghanaian consumers.

The launch places a particular focus on electric and hybrid mobility, aligning with Ghana's efforts to accelerate the transition towards greener transportation. Dr. Julius Debrah, Chief of Staff, underscored the global automotive industry's shift towards cleaner technologies, with electric vehicles poised to play a pivotal role in the future of transportation.

Dr. Debrah also noted Ghana's burgeoning electric vehicle population, currently exceeding 17,000, and highlighted the environmental benefits of EVs, including reduced carbon emissions and lower maintenance costs compared to traditional combustion vehicles. He encouraged GAC to prioritize after-sales services and technical expertise to build trust among local consumers.

Obrempong Nana Bonsu Agyekum Prempeh, president of the Chamber of Automobile Dealership Ghana (CADEG) and Group CEO of Nabus Motors, called on FET Auto to tailor its offerings to Ghanaian consumers, invest in skills development, and foster a strong presence within the local automotive ecosystem. He stressed that international automotive brands can contribute meaningfully to Ghana's economy by combining innovation with reliability, quality service, and a long-term commitment.

The introduction of GAC's full lineup bolsters Ghana's already competitive automotive market and provides consumers with a broader selection of conventional, hybrid, and electric vehicles.
