Fadhlina arah siasatan dalaman kematian pelajar 14 tahun selesai segera

Menteri Pendidikan Malaysia, Fadhlina Sidek, has directed an internal investigation into the death of 14-year-old student, Keziah Nisha, following allegations of verbal bullying, including racially charged comments, to be completed promptly. In a statement on Facebook, Fadhlina emphasized that all concerns, including bullying and ethnic issues, must be taken seriously and handled immediately based on facts and proper procedures.

The Ministry of Education (KPM) has fully cooperated with the police, working closely with the Kuala Lumpur Education District Office and the Community Welfare Department, as well as the Health Ministry, to ensure a comprehensive approach to this matter. At the same time, Fadhlina noted that support and concern are also being extended to the victim's family, fellow students, teachers, and the entire school community affected by the incident.

Family members have received psychological support from KPM's counseling team, while teachers have been briefed on the ongoing investigation process and legal proceedings, along with ensuring their well-being continues to be prioritized. The primary focus is on ensuring justice for all parties involved and taking appropriate steps to maintain a safe and free learning environment from any form of bullying or discrimination, the minister added.

The tragic death of Keziah, a 14-year-old student from Kuala Lumpur, sparked public concern over allegations of verbal bullying, potentially including racial slurs, which are still under further investigation. Prior to this, PKR Youth Leader Kamil Munim called for a thorough, impartial, and fair investigation into the student's death, stating that all possibilities should be explored and all parties heard before drawing any conclusions.

Kamil also emphasized that this incident should serve as a platform for the community to discuss the need to address issues related to racial prejudice in the language and behavior of school students.
