Defense Ministry, Armed Forces must develop practical solutions on mobilisation – Zelenskyy

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has urged the Defense Ministry and Armed Forces of Ukraine to come up with practical solutions for mobilization, contract service, and the rotation of troops. Everything concerning mobilization and contracts, as well as the rotation of soldiers, requires concrete plans and proposals, Zelenskyy emphasized when presenting Defense Minister Yevhen Khmara.

He called for a more humane and systematic approach to addressing organizational issues within the military. One of the primary challenges facing the defense sector today, according to the president, is the lack of financial resources. We must secure the necessary funds, and I believe this is the most significant challenge we have ever encountered.

The war has become increasingly costly, and that is a reality. Greater resources are needed; the deficit is larger, Zelenskyy stated. Russia is employing more tactics in the conflict against Ukraine, so it is crucial not only to defend ourselves but also to take more proactive steps, the president added. This necessitates a collective effort from the entire nation, Zelenskyy concluded.
