Cockroach Janta Party alleges government schools in Hyderabad, Telangana blocked volunteers during ‘School Thik Karo’ campaign

Volunteers from the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) conducting safety and infrastructure assessments at government schools in Hyderabad and parts of Telangana claimed they were blocked from entering multiple schools. The organization alleged a coordinated effort by administrators to hinder citizens from inspecting school conditions and addressing safety concerns.

CJP stated that volunteers were denied access to schools in Armoor, Trimulgherry, Moula Ali, Malkajgiri, Secunderabad, and Siddipet. These include ZPHS Girls High School in Armoor, GGHS Picket Government School in Trimulgherry, Government High Schools in Malkajgiri and Secunderabad, and ZPHS Ramancha in Siddipet. CJP officials claimed they had visited 11 schools in four days, though the total number of schools to be inspected was still being determined.

School administrations reportedly cited "orders from above" when refusing entry. CJP alleged that school officials prohibited social audits without permission from higher authorities, such as Block Development Officers or District Officers. The group noted that routine gatherings near school entrances by individuals consuming illegal substances pose a safety risk.

CJP urged senior education and law enforcement officials in Telangana to lift bureaucratic obstacles, permit school inspections, and address security concerns raised during the campaign.
