Cape Town's high tea journey is taking luxury dining to the road in an innovative mobile experience. LOREA High Tea Experience invites both locals and tourists to discover the city from a unique perspective - aboard a beautifully transformed double-decker bus. The adventure begins before guests even step onto the bus, with a welcome in the prestigious Rockefeller Hotel lounge, eliminating the need to wait outside in any weather.

Once aboard, the journey itself becomes the destination. The bus makes its way from the Cape Town CBD, transforming the city's architecture into changing views of mountains, oceans, and coastal scenery. The upper deck offers panoramic views while guests remain seated in a floral, garden-inspired interior that feels like a moving tea room rather than traditional transport.

The location changes according to the time of departure, offering guests a brilliant daylight view of the Atlantic or the warm colors of a Cape Town sunset.

The high tea spread is a generous, substantial offering with a distinctive principle: every guest receives their own individual three-tier stand, with no sharing. The menu features a balance of savoury and sweet options, including items like barbecue sausage bites, quiches, salmon and cucumber, pastrami with pickles, and chicken kebabs, alongside curated teas, coffees, hot chocolate, signature mocktails, and celebratory sparkling pairings.

With seating for up to 32 guests, LORA High Tea Experience welcomes individual bookings as well as special occasions, corporate groups, and private charters. The onboard team delivers the experience with the guiding promise: "We serve with love." The journey, not the arrival, is the experience, as founder and managing director Miriam Mokoena emphasizes.
