Brazil great Ronaldinho arrives in Italy for beach ceremony after signing for third-tier Ravenna

Brazilian soccer star Ronaldinho has arrived in Italy for a beach ceremony celebrating his signing with third-division club Ravenna. The 46-year-old Ronaldinho signed with the Italian team more than a decade after retiring. He touched down by private jet at Forlì Airport, located about 30 kilometers from Ravenna. Upon arrival, he presented a few soccer balls to airport staff before boarding a car on the runway, avoiding a group of fans waiting on the ground.

Accompanied by Ravenna President Ignazio Cipriani, Ronaldinho is set to attend a glitzy ceremony on the beach Thursday evening, where the team will be presented, with Ronaldinho expected to be the last to arrive. He will also give a news conference prior to the event. However, Ronaldinho will not participate in Ravenna's first Serie C match of the season against Reggio Emilia, taking place on Monday. It remains uncertain how much playing time he will receive during the season.

Ronaldinho last played professionally for Fluminense in 2015. This marks his second spell in Italy, having previously played for AC Milan from 2008-2011. With Brazil, he won the World Cup in 2002 and the Ballon d'Or in 2005.
