Bibio's Stephen Wilkinson and Dorian Concept's Oliver Johnson, longtime friends, finally collaborated on an audio-visual project called Bibio & Dorian Concept. The duo debuted their album "Answers" on October 16 via Warp Records, with the single "Lichen Trip" leading the pack. "Lichen Trip" features a mesmerizing rhythm, underpinned by acoustic guitar and accentuated by a Roland SH-101 synth processed through a 2000s Eventide Orville.
The result is a captivating, ethereal track. The single's video, created by Wilkinson and Johnson, combines digital effects and optical illusions with soft, nature-inspired visuals. The album's tracklist includes tracks like "Womb Glow," "Shame," "Pigeon Harp," "Hammock Portal," "Jelly Pencil," "Pearl Net," "Pins & Needles," "Sugar Rain," "The Unknown," "Star Bird," "Stratocumulus," "Pomegranate," and concludes with the title track "Answers." Pre-orders are available now.
