Pengundi pilihan raya Negeri Sembilan tiba-tiba memuncak sebelum 1 Ogos, dan saya berkumpul dengan sekumpulan pelajar UPM, UKM dan UIA untuk melakukan temu bual dan diskusi secara berkumpulan. Perikatan Nasional dan Barisan Nasional memimpin kerajaan dan berhasil mengalahkan Pakatan Harapan, termasuk Menteri Besar Aminuddin Harun di Linggi dan Setiausaha Agung DAP Anthony Loke di Chennah.

Five focus group discussions were conducted between June 15 and July 30, 2026. The study focused on young voters under the age of 30, as nearly half of the voters in Negeri Sembilan fall into this category.

The research was carried out for Iseas-Yusof Ishak Singapore and will be published shortly. The study examined the campaign's role in addressing the crisis of leadership in Adat Perpatih and included issues of former Four Member of Parliament (one, Johol, is still in office) with the Sultan of Negeri Sembilan, Tuanku Muhriz Tuanku Munawir.

Issues of Tabung Haji losses and questions about political identity and Islam were also addressed. The field study was conducted in Tampin, Port Dickson, Seremban, Labu, Senawang, Repah, Gemas, Paroi, Seri Menanti, Sikamat, Lenggeng, Seremban Jaya, Repah, Rantau, and Linggi.

Several factors contributed to the success of BN and PN in Negeri Sembilan, such as clear communication with voters via social media (including a song in the Negeri Sembilan dialect on TikTok), the use of artists and celebrities like Anne Ngasri in Labu or Asma Harun in Lenggeng. The failure of Pakatan Harapan in Negeri Sembilan can be attributed to three main points: first, electoral fitnah by Pakatan Harapan opponents; second, the involvement of Gen Z female voters, with 36 out of 60 respondents being women; and third, the dominance of national issues over local or regional issues in Negeri Sembilan.
