BC Nagesh’s last rites to be performed today

Bidar, India - Tributes have been pouring in for senior BJP leader and former minister B C Nagesh, who passed away on Tuesday due to chronic health issues at the age of 67. Nagesh, a former MLA of the Tiptur constituency and the state's minister for primary and secondary education, received tributes from party members, supporters, and political leaders from various parties.

His last rites will be performed in Tiptur on Thursday with full state honours, as announced by the district administration. Deputy Commissioner Shubha Kalyan assured that adequate security arrangements are in place to prevent any untoward incidents during the final viewing and funeral. Thousands of people and dignitaries from diverse fields are expected to attend the funeral, prompting the administration to take measures to control the crowd, ensure smooth traffic, and provide necessary facilities.

The deputy commissioner personally inspected the preparations and emphasized the need for maintaining peace and order. Nagesh's son Vishwadeep informed the media that the funeral will take place after discussions with family members and senior leaders, with the exact location to be announced later. Condolences have been extended by several political leaders, including former chief minister HD Kumaraswamy, who remembered Nagesh as a popular and amiable leader who made significant contributions during his tenure as the minister for primary education.
