AP Rajya Sabha MP’s son booked after Aston Martin fatally hits woman near Inorbit Mall in Hyderabad

Police in Hyderabad have booked the son of Andhra Pradesh Rajya Sabha member Lingamaneni Ramesh in connection with the fatal hit-and-run accident that occurred near Inorbit Mall on August 16. Lingamaneni Sanjush, a 21-year-old, was driving an Aston Martin when he struck 26-year-old Bharati Mukhi, an employee at the mall. The vehicle was reportedly traveling at high speed and in a reckless manner when the collision occurred.

Bharati, a sales associate at the Lifestyle store, was returning to work with a colleague when she attempted to cross the road. She sustained a severe head injury in the accident and was taken to a private hospital in Jubilee Hills, where she was pronounced dead. The incident was reported to the police by the mall's manager, Panjala Ashwin Kumar.

Police have lodged a case under Section 106(1) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, which deals with causing death by rash or negligent acts. Sanjush was identified as the driver and a notice has been issued to him. The car has been seized and police have conducted tests to check for signs of intoxication or drug use. Sanjush's blood samples have been sent to the Forensic Science Laboratory for analysis.

The investigation is ongoing, with authorities awaiting the post-mortem examination report and other evidence to determine the exact circumstances of the fatal accident.
