Ahmedabad-Bhagalpur Amrit Bharat Express to start on August 26: Check route, stops and timings

Indian Railways introduces a new Amrit Bharat Express connecting Bhagalpur and Ahmedabad, commencing operations on August 26. The introduction aims to meet increasing demand between Bihar and Gujarat's eastern and western regions. Bhagalpur, known as India's "Silk City" and a key commercial hub in Bihar, will benefit from enhanced rail connectivity to Ahmedabad, a major industrial and economic center in Gujarat.

The new weekly train, numbered 19423 and 19424, will replace the existing Ahmedabad-Patna-Ahmedabad Clone Special services. Ticket booking for train 19423 opens on August 21 via PRS counters and IRCTC website. The 36-hour and 10-minute journey features general unreserved and sleeper class coaches, with speeds ranging between 110-130 kmph.

The Bhagalpur-Ahmedabad Amrit Bharat Express operates once a week, departing Ahmedabad on Wednesdays at 6:30 PM, arriving in Bhagalpur at 6:40 AM on Fridays. The return journey sees train 19424 departing Bhagalpur on Fridays at 4:45 PM, reaching Ahmedabad at 5:25 AM on Sundays. The route includes stops at 25 key stations, facilitating transportation between Bihar and Gujarat's major economic and cultural centers.
