Why we can’t move Ogogo for spiritual treatment – Jide Kosoko

Veteran Nollywood actor Jide Kosoko has requested continued prayers for his ailing colleague, Taiwo Hassan, commonly known as Ogogo, explaining the family's inability to relocate him for spiritual and medical treatment. In an Instagram post, Kosoko expressed gratitude for the abundance of support offered by fans, colleagues, and well-wishers, yet emphasized that Ogogo's current medical condition precludes relocation from the hospital where he is receiving care.

He shared that despite receiving offers from over 300 to 500 people, the family is grappling with the challenge of finding a suitable alternative facility and safely transporting Ogogo while he is under medical treatment. Kosoko urged those proposing traditional, spiritual, or specialized treatments to refrain from feeling offended or disappointed by the family's inability to bring Ogogo to them, assuring that their condition is too precarious for such moves.

He clarified that the lack of relocation does not reflect on the value of the offers or the good intentions of the supporters, but rather acknowledges the complexity of Ogogo's medical situation. The statement came after Ogogo's daughters revealed in a viral video that their father was battling stage-four cancer, sparking an outpouring of support from the film industry and social media.

Medical experts have cautioned against unverified herbal remedies, emphasizing the importance of palliative care in managing stage-four cancer to ensure a good quality of life. Kosoko's appeal reaffirms that Ogogo remains under the hospital's direct care, with the emphasis on public support through prayer.
