Ryker Rasmus, a star pitcher in the 2026 Little League World Series, turned 12 on August 19 and was celebrated by his teammates at Lamade Stadium in Williamsport, Pennsylvania. Known as the "life of the party" among his Phenix City peers, Ryker influenced his teammates to dye their hair bright blonde for the season. Ryker is the son of Phenix City Little League manager Case Rasmus, who is the youngest of three brothers who have played professional baseball.

Case Rasmus, who never reached MLB status like his older brothers Cory and Colby, played college baseball at Liberty University before spending four seasons playing catcher for minor league teams affiliated with the St. Louis Cardinals. Despite not making it to MLB like his brothers, Case Rasmus achieved a career on-base-plus-slugging percentage of .595 and a .289 average.

The other Rasmus brothers have made it to MLB, with Cory playing for the Atlanta Braves and Los Angeles Angels, and Colby having stints with the St. Louis Cardinals, Toronto Blue Jays, Houston Astros, Tampa Bay Rays, and Baltimore Orioles.
