Video shows officers fall as a second-story deck collapses while they try to make an arrest

Body camera footage captures nine U.S. Marshals Service officers falling as a second-story wooden deck gives way while they attempt an arrest. On July 21 in Huntsville, Missouri, the officers, some with firearms, lined up outside an apartment door to apprehend a 26-year-old man for skipping sex offender registration. The Randolph County Sheriff’s Department said the task force comprised members from their office, Moberly Police Department, and North Missouri Drug Task Force, all working together under U.S. Marshals Service command.

Seven officers were airlifted to the hospital for injuries deemed "consistent with a pretty serious fall," including broken bones, according to U.S. Marshal Steven Lewis. Despite the incident, the fugitive was apprehended later that day, as reported by U.S. Marshals Service spokesperson Abigail Meyer.
