Ukraine’s Government Removes Sense Bank Chairman Amid Anti-Corruption Probe
Prime Minister Serhii Koretskyi announced Wednesday, Aug. 19, that the government removed the chairman of state-owned Sense Bank’s supervisory board, seeking to oust its CEO next. The decision follows a NABU investigation that claimed bank officials helped launder HR. 150 million (roughly $3.3 million) to post bail for a suspect in an earlier corruption case.
