Sng gesa Ahli Parlimen mahu keluar parti kekal di Dewan Rakyat

Malaysia's BN leader Larry Sng has urged MPs who wish to leave the party to do so while remaining in Parliament until the Dewan Rakyat is dissolved. This came in response to speculation that another PKR MP might resign and leave the party. The Julau MP stated that this is important because the government still needs a two-thirds majority in the Dewan Rakyat to pass constitutional amendments.

He also urged the concerned MP to continue serving the people throughout the remainder of their term. Earlier tonight, Petaling Jaya MP Lee Chean Chung wondered if Petaling Jaya might lose its MP following PKR's failure to take disciplinary action against him. Lee was among PKR MPs barred from accessing the MyKhas portal, which manages constituency allowances.

At a Bersatu launch event in Petaling Jaya on May 17, Lee responded to a question from a Bersatu forum, saying he had spoken to the PKR disciplinary body and requested the appropriate punishment. Lee said he is prepared to separate from PKR if necessary and that Petaling Jaya may lose its MP if the party fails to act. Lee also maintained his presence at the Bersatu event despite still being a PKR member, stating he is free to attend events in his constituency.

He resigned from PKR's central leadership committee meeting in June, a week after losing access to MyKhas. Another PKR MP who attended the Bersatu launch, Wong Chen, recently resigned his Petang Subang seat before leaving the party and joining Bersatu.
