Rosie O’Donnell ‘thanks’ Trump while guest hosting ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live’

On her second night guest-hosting "Jimmy Kimmel Live!" on Tuesday, Rosie O’Donnell expressed her gratitude to U.S. President Donald Trump for reviving her career. During her opening monologue, O’Donnell credited Trump for helping her return to network television. "I’m so grateful to be filling in for Jimmy and to be hosting a talk show on network tv once again.

This has been kind of a strange experience for me because all of a sudden I’m re-famous. I’m back in the spotlight, all thanks to President Oompa J. Loompa, who is watching us this evening from inside a catering cart," the former "The View" host said. In her Monday guest-hosting debut, O’Donnell also mentioned Trump during her monologue and warned viewers that she would continue Kimmel’s criticism of the president.

She further explained her move to Ireland, stating that she left the United States due to Trump's influence. O’Donnell shared that her child informed her friends about the family's move to Ireland, leading to the child being forced to leave school due to the president's hatred towards her mother.
