Qatar Chamber looks to enhance trade, investment cooperation with Kazakhstan

Qatar Chamber's acting general manager, Ali Bu Sherbak al-Mansouri, convened a meeting with Kazakhstan ambassador Bakhyt Batyrshayev, alongside embassy counsellor Olzhas Sadykov, at the chamber's headquarters. The primary focus of their discussions revolved around the enhancement of economic and trade relations, the investment climate, and the available opportunities between the Qatari and Kazakh private sectors.

Al-Mansouri affirmed the "strong and distinguished" nature of the bilateral relations, pointing out the presence of several signed agreements in various fields. He underscored the significance of deepening cooperation between the private sectors of both nations and encouraging the exchange of business missions. Al-Mansouri highlighted Qatar's attractive investment environment, which presents fresh opportunities for collaboration and partnerships between Qatari and Kazakh companies across multiple sectors.

He extended a warm welcome to Kazakh business delegations to visit Qatar, meet with Qatari businesspeople, and explore potential collaboration avenues. Batyrshayev commended the robust relations between Kazakhstan and Qatar, stating that Qatar is a vital partner for Kazakhstan in the region. He elaborated on the key aspects of the Kazakh economy and major investment prospects, focusing on infrastructure, transport, services, tourism, mining, and other sectors.

Batyrshayev also spotlighted significant Qatari projects and investments in Kazakhstan, particularly in the construction, banking, and energy sectors. The ambassador urged the Qatar Chamber and Qatari investors to visit Kazakhstan and explore these opportunities firsthand. He further emphasized the importance of activating the Qatar-Kazakhstan Joint Business Council, arranging business visits between the two countries, and fostering mutual participation in trade fairs and economic events.
