Punjab Orders Door-To-Door Survey to Identify Children For Special Education

The Punjab Special Education Department has begun a door-to-door survey to identify children with special needs across the province, with the goal of increasing their enrollment in special education institutions. Heads of these institutions have been tasked with gathering information on children with special needs in their areas, determining who is eligible for admission.

Both teachers and non-teaching staff will take part in this effort, and school transport may be utilized to aid the teams in reaching various locations. The department has given the survey a five-day time frame for completion. Officials will collect details about the children, including geo-tagged photographs. This initiative aims to create a more comprehensive record of children with special needs and help eligible children gain admission to special education institutions.
