Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs meets Bangladesh Foreign Minister, President-elect of 81st Session of UN General Assembly

His Excellency Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani, Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, convened with Dr Khalilur Rahman, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Bangladesh and President-elect of the 81st Session of the United Nations General Assembly, on Wednesday. Rahman was in Qatar at the time. The meeting commenced with Sheikh Mohammed congratulating Dr Rahman on his recent election as President of the UN General Assembly, extended his best wishes for his success in the role.

The discussion encompassed various topics including bilateral cooperation relations, strategies to bolster these ties, the latest regional and international developments, as well as several areas of shared interest. Additionally, they exchanged perspectives on potential collaboration between Qatar and the United Nations in tackling global challenges, with a particular focus on peacebuilding, sustainable development, and climate change.
