Selangor police are investigating whether stress contributed to the sudden death of a female teacher found unconscious at a school in Hulu Selangor last month, according to Datuk Shazeli Kahar, the state police chief. The teacher, who later died after receiving treatment in hospital, was discovered on July 31. Police are gathering statements from colleagues to establish a cause for the death, as the case remains under investigation.
Shazeli also revealed that police are looking into allegations of arson at a workshop in Kampung Bukit Kapar, linked to foreign nationals suspected of dismantling and selling vehicle parts. So far, only two foreign nationals - the owner and an employee - have been arrested, but the police are not yet convinced that this constitutes a syndicate.
The investigation is ongoing, with additional arrests made in raids targeting a vehicle workshop and suspected involvement in operations related to immigrant repatriation.
